Course Description: This 4 hour course is designed to provide staff serving in Group Homes and STRTP’s behavior management strategies for staff working with traumatized youth and families. The aim of the course is to assist adults with an understanding of who the youth are, where they come from and why they do what they do, through an exploration of parental stress responses and childhood diagnoses. Participants will then formulate effective tools and techniques when engaging in trauma-informed work.
