Course Description: This 4 hour course is designed to provide staff serving in Group Homes and STRTP’s behavior management strategies for staff working with traumatized youth and families. The aim of the course is to assist adults with an understanding of who the youth are, where they come from and why they do what they do from an attachment perspective in order to come up with effective tools and techniques when participating in trauma-informed work.

All Seneca staff are eligible to attend our trainings. External partners are eligible for most trainings and must work with dependent youth in Alameda, Solano, Contra Costa, or San Francisco in order to attend. Trainings are free for those eligible. 

Starting June 1st, The Training Department will no longer provide the access links in the course description to ensure that those who registered are accounted for.

There will now be a registration deadline meaning registration to enroll in any trainings will close 1 day before the training begins.

Zoom Links, Evaluation Links and Materials/Handouts will be sent 1 day before the training or no later than 1 hour before the training begins.

Please do not forward any Zoom Links, Evaluation Links and Materials/Handouts to anyone as only registered participants can have access to the links/materials.
