Class Objectives:

Participants will be able to identify four key
principles underlying disability movements and language use, demonstrating
knowledge acquisition in historical perspectives.

Participants will be able to differentiate
between "literal communicators" and "abstract communicators, "identifying
specific communication styles exhibited by system-involved youth, thereby
demonstrating comprehension of diverse communication modalities.

Participants will practice utilizing a range of
techniques to support the emotional well-being and communication needs of
neurodiverse system-involved youth, demonstrating synthesis of learning in practical
application.
