Understanding It and Using It to Improve Communication and Care with System-Involved
Youth (for caregivers)
Training Summary:
Our ability
to understand and feel what another person experiences is key to understanding
and connecting with others. For children and youth to feel safe, heard and
understood, their caregivers must have strong empathy skills. Effective
parenting relies on strong empathy skills. In this training, caregivers will learn
the importance of empathy in caring for youth and develop empathy skills to use
in supporting and guiding system-involved youth.
