Course Description: Strategic Hiring Practices to
Support Youth in Care- 2 GH & STRTP CEUs
Probably the first step in supervising staff is
hiring the right people. Hiring is not an exact science and therefore managers
should have a plan for successfully engaging in the process. This training is
designed to help managers develop those strategies that increase the odds of
hiring effective, dedicated and committed staff who will best fit the needs of
the youth in their programs. Participants will have the opportunity to explore
and develop a step by step process for hiring staff - a major component of
which, is the interview. Participants will be presented with the components of
Behavioral Interviewing and allowed to develop and practice the process. They
will be given a templet of interview forms to help them organize their efforts.
