Class Description:

The Seneca foster care pre-approval training series is primarily designed for prospective ISFC (Intensive Services Foster Care) resource parents with the purpose of developing or strengthening the knowledge, understanding and skills essential when caring for traumatized foster youth with intensive needs.



This class will be held on Saturdays online via Zoom. The link will be sent out on the Friday before the training around 4pm. If you sign up after 4pm or do not receive the link, please email Alicia Serapio.

Understanding Attachment When Caring for Foster Youth: RFA Pre-Approval Training


This training provides information about the impact of disruptions in attachment relationships on youth in out-of-home care. Participants will gain an understanding of youth behavior in the context of traumatic stress and disrupted attachment. Participants will also learn strategies for how to rebuild attachments with traumatized youth.
